KL, KL.... Part II
Upon arriving in KL.... the only thing I saw was busy-ness. KL seemed to me everything but slow.
Thanks to my mom's training session which she was already running late to attend, we didn't have much time to look around in KLIA. Instead, right after the 2 1/2 hour flight over the South China Sea, all I found myself doing was walking 3-meter per second footsteps towards the baggage re-claim department.
Even with such speed, the enormous space in KLIA made us take more than 10 minutes to find it.....
Then we had to board the RM35 KLIA Express, which was a train that brought you all the way to town, KL Sentral in about 35 minutes. Well, I guess it beats getting on a taxi that'll charge you a bomb just to get out of the airport.
Then as if to confirm my initial thoughts....... was KL Sentral. With people bustling about with either no sense of direction, with faces that scowled at their very own watches.... Imagine a mini airport, and a stock market, TA-DA! You get KL Sentral!
KL Sentral. Didn't have time to take a better image because of the hurry..... and the crowd.

I was just wondering how much more busy things could get, and then I saw it. LRTs.
Yes.... the machines that open their mechanical doors for only 10 seconds, and only sounds twice before slamming them shut and not giving a damn if it chopped off one of your hands.... Fast and efficient they are.... but I guess not something I'd like to get on when there's thousands of people crowding to get on the same thing......
Taken during one of the times with less people....
I wouldn't even have space to take out my camera if it was crowded.
Finally....... after coming down the plane, boarding two trains which stopped at over 15 stations, and a short RM3.50 taxi ride, I arrived at my destination for the day. My friend Sam's apartment.
Surprisingly.... I was expecting the word "Apartment" to be more...... non-condominium like..... But it turns out that the condominiums were doing far better and the "Apartment" turned out to be some 22 storey building which looked something like this
in the morning.
I bet you can't find apartments like this in 'Kampung Kinabalu'
However, the good thing about being on a 22 storey building is..... you get to see views like this too

Evening (7:30pm or so....)

Waking up the next day, me, Sam and Futt were headed off to Sunway, to do some shopping ^^
And JUST as I was about to think KL was quite far better off with their transport facilities and network system.... I ended up sitting on a bus that will sacrifice the time of it's passengers for it's own profit.
While waiting, I noticed the secret to our everyday favourite "Ba Kua" BBQed pork!
After shopping for nearly 4 hours..... I gave up......
KL shopping complexes are SooOOOOOoo big (relative to KK ones) that you really learn what it is to "Shop till you Drop"! Just take ANY of the major shopping complexes in KL, and OneBorneo can go into the bottom of your "To Go To Shopping Complex" list. Despite all the hype about OneBorneo being so and so........ if you've been to KL, it's nothing compared to any of KL's.
Another good thing about the shopping malls are that they never seem to run out of variety and interesting stuff.

The "patient" ticket attendant waiting for more passengers to board.....
While waiting, I noticed the secret to our everyday favourite "Ba Kua" BBQed pork!
The sand from the road, the smoke from the cars, the dust from the fan, and all the natural 'ajinomoto' adds up....... to the tasty piece of meat that we can't hold ourselves back from.
Looks like the food in KL isn't any less poluted than the well knowned Satay stalls in our KK, haha.
After a 1 and a half hour of sitting in 2 buses....... we arrived, at Sunway Pyramid.
I can't deny that so far, the designs and architectures of all their shopping malls seem to be very interesting.
You have to give credit to their decorations too...... they really took an effort just to make the place nice for Chinese New Year..... unlike some places........
The ever so popular Ice skating ring........ (though I don't see the point of going around in circles of 200 meter squared of space).

Moss, Sam, with Futt M.I.A (Due to him not bringing a cellphone along)
